Due to the public health pandemic, our campaign had to get creative to collect hundreds of nomination signatures — and we did. You did, sometimes one or two signatures at a time. Nomination sheets came by mail, and we picked up others. Some were left on the table on my front porch.
Add it all up, and we collected nearly 450 signatures … more than twice the minimum necessary to earn a place on the ballot this fall. I delivered them to the Wisconsin Elections Commission office in Madison on Friday.
And the race is on!
As the Democratic nominee for State Assembly District 21, I promise to continue to work diligently to gain the support and trust of voters across the political spectrum over the coming months and earn a victory in November.
I want to thank those who signed and decided to be part of our campaign to shake up the status quo. We need to get the legislature working, together, for us again, and fix a broken state government. I hope you will continue to follow and support our campaign moving forward.
